Employee Spotlight

Hi everyone! My name is Jake, and I started working for Red Wing Software in November 2022. I’ve spent the last 12 years working in finance operations but decided to move on from the corporate scene and get back to my roots of directly providing a service to customers. I worked in customer service and sales for about 20 years before finance and enjoyed every minute of it. I’m hoping to find that same satisfaction here at Red Wing Software, and from what I can tell it should be relatively easy to accomplish. My tenure has been short, but I can already tell what a fantastic company this is by the people around me and our vision for serving our customers with excellence. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this team!
I spend my free time watching the Vikings, going on an ATV adventure, casting a fishing rod, playing with my dogs, or hanging out with my grandkids, which is the most rewarding of all. I also enjoy spending time with my parents or any number of my cousins and extended family. Another thing I enjoy is climbing into my 1979 International 886. Don’t get me wrong, I may aspire to be an actual farmer, but all this converted city boy does is run the disc around the field to knock down some weeds and kick up some dirt. This comes in especially handy when my wife tells me she has a project for me, as it gives me an escape and a couple of hours of serenity. Although I will miss my IH dearly, I am considering moving on from plowing dirt and potentially swapping it out for a skid steer. I still may not know what I am doing, but it gives me another loud diesel to crank up as I’m about to get a new assignment from my wife.
I am looking forward to speaking with you and hope to lend a helping hand when needed.

Employee Spotlight - Allison Eisbach

My name is Allison Eisbach, and I am an Accounting Support Specialist at Red Wing Software. I have been with the company for three years. I am from Red Wing, Minnesota but currently reside in Tomah, Wisconsin. I am hoping to purchase a home and make it back to the Red Wing area soon. I am a bartender at Hay Creek Saloon and Campground on the side and a mom to not human babies but pets. I currently have three horses: Jetta (Black Morgan; 16), Ramzi (Bay Arabian; 9), and Bella (Grey Quarter Horse; 18), two Great Danes: Axel (Dark Fawn Mantle) and Oakley (Light Fawn Mantle) they are brothers and will be a year old on December 2nd, three cats: Daffy (white and grey medium hair), Minnie (tan/champagne medium hair), and Mittens (grey domestic; he has five toes), and last but not least I have a three-year-old piebald python snake. I have my own little zoo!
In my spare time, when I am not working or caring for my pets, I enjoy pulling out my horse trailer and going for a trail ride or heading to a barrel race. When I’m not riding my horses, I will spend a couple of summer nights a week playing sand volleyball. Once winter comes around, I start bowling league (I average currently around 180). If I ever find a spare minute, I will pull out one of my two motorcycles and take a spin down some backroads to enjoy the wind in my face and the crisp air. I am a busy bee and am incapable of sitting still, so you will hardly ever catch me doing nothing. I always find something to do or work on… life is a never-ending task.
I hope you are having a wonderful year and want to say thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me.

Employee Spotlight - Larry Warrington

My name is Larry Warrington, and I am IT Manager here at Red Wing Software. It’s my job to make everyone at Red Wing Software as efficient and effective as possible by giving them the tools they need to do their job. I have worked for Red Wing Software for over 25 years and have been around the company in some form since the 1980s through other family working here. My wife and I grew up in Red Wing, and after going to school and living around the state, we came back to town to live when I took the job here. We have two grown children that we raised here in Red Wing.
When I am not working, I am very involved in our local mountain bike club. I was a board member for years, I have organized races, and when not riding, I spend my free time building and maintaining mountain bike trails. This past summer, I helped with a youth mountain bike class that the club ran. The class offered young riders a chance to learn bike handling skills and introduced them to the local trails. It was fun to watch them become better riders and have a blast on their bike. I really enjoy the exercise and the time in the woods that mountain biking provides. It’s my happy place!

Welcome Katrina Nelson, the New Voice at Red Wing Software!

Katrina Nelson is the new voice at Red Wing Software! If you call Red Wing Software, you will likely talk to Katrina, as she will now be answering calls, as well as a host of other functions at her job as administrative assistant at Red Wing Software. (Please note: Roxie is still here and continues to work at Red Wing Software, and you may still hear from her from time to time.) Katrina was kind enough to share a little about herself for this newsletter.

Katrina has traveled and worked all over the U.S., having been married to her husband Josh, who is in the Air Force. Originally a native of Red Wing, Katrina moved back to the area recently and is enjoying being back home again. In addition to having her degree in Cosmetology, Katrina has also had experience in several medical office settings, working in busy offices and keeping things organized.

When asked what she likes most about working at Red Wing Software, she replied, “I have enjoyed learning about Red Wing Software’s background and history. I was especially impressed with the fact that the company still sends out hand-written thank you notes to its customers! I am happy to work for the kind of company that still does that!”

Katrina and Josh have one daughter, Kyla, who is three years old. They enjoy golf outings, going to car shows, and spending time with family. Katrina is an avid fan of drag racing! Not only is she a fan, but she is a drag racer and it is one of her favorite things to do. Please give Katrina a warm welcome to Red Wing Software. We are excited to have her as part of the team!

The Person Behind the Voice – Jayme Poole

Jayme Poole has been at Red Wing Software since June, 2014 as a member of the support team. I talked to Jayme to see how she likes being a part of Red Wing Software so far, and to learn a little more about her.

What do you like most about working at Red Wing Software?

I love the fact that it is my job to help customers get their problem solved. To know that when I am done with a call, I have just helped someone find an answer to their problem.

What do you like to do outside of work?

In my spare time, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family and friends! I have two kids, a son named Jackson who is nine, and a daughter Jaydea who is seven. Also, my boyfriend Brian has a son Collin who is twelve. They keep us very busy! When we are able to get out, we like to go to friends’ houses and socialize. I also coach volleyball for youth girls when time allows, unfortunately this year I had to take off due to a busy home life. I am looking forward to getting back to it next year!
