Product Suggestions

A new email link has been added to the Red Wing Software newsletter. In the right-hand column, you will find “Product Suggestions” with the suggestions@redwingsoftware.com email under it. Use this email to submit product suggestions and leave feedback for CenterPoint or any other Red Wing Software product you use. Customer suggestions are crucial to making Red Wing Software products the best they can be. All product suggestions, no matter how big or small, are reviewed by our team. Just click on the link, and your default email program will open an email to that address. We look forward to receiving your suggestions.

CenterPoint Version 16.4 Release

We are excited to introduce the release of CenterPoint Accounting and CenterPoint Payroll version 16.4. This update is currently being rolled out. If you have not received the update yet, it will be available to you soon. In addition to the functionality listed below, there are numerous other changes incorporated into version 16.4, which were based on customer feedback.
CenterPoint version 16.4 has several notable enhancements that will make the product easier to use and more efficient. See the links below to view all new changes.
CenterPoint Accounting for Agriculture:
Program Speed Improvements: CenterPoint Version 16.4 includes program speed improvements focusing on memory optimization for transaction entry screens, budgets, financial analysis, and physical inventory counts.
Reporting Updates: Additional columns, filters, and date selections have been added to many reports throughout the accounting program, based on customer feedback, to refine the reporting capabilities of CenterPoint. Having the additional columns and filters can make it easier to promptly provide exactly the information you or others are seeking on a report.
Ease of Use: Many ease of use features have been added that will make day-to-day operation in the program more efficient. For example, payments can now be edited within an ACH File (before the ACH payment has been made). You no longer need to delete and re-enter all payments within the file when editing an ACH payment, making the process much easier.
Attachments (Advanced A/R Module): CenterPoint now supports scanning and/or attaching files or documentation to sales items. Attach things like assembly instructions, operating instructions, item guides, or anything pertaining to the item’s documentation. Using the new attachments feature within Sales Items can clarify details for internal staff and customers seeking more information about an item.

CenterPoint Payroll:
Program Speed Improvements: CenterPoint Payroll Version 16.4 includes program speed improvements. For example, the synchronization function between the CenterPoint Time Clock and CenterPoint Payroll has been improved and can now be completed more efficiently.
Reporting Updates: Additional columns, filters, and date selections have been added to many reports throughout the payroll program, based on customer feedback, to refine the reporting capabilities of CenterPoint. Having the additional columns and filters can make it easier to promptly provide exactly the information you or others are seeking on a report. 
Ease of Use: Many ease of use features have been added that will make day-to-day operation in the program more efficient. For example: Specific warning messages can now be suppressed on the setup of employees, making the maintenance of employees more straightforward. New columns and filters have been added to Pay Employees and Employee Maintenance to define how you want to view and work with data. In the Employee Mass Update Wizard, all inactive earnings have been filtered out, an option to update the home address has been added, and the ability to update the federal tax reporting fields and flat tax amounts and percentages has been added.

Online Training sessions provide you with in-depth information and explanations that allow you to learn more about CenterPoint from any location where you can access the internet (high-speed internet connection recommended). The sessions are presented live by one of our CenterPoint experts while you view the presenter's computer screen. You will have the opportunity to ask questions. The sessions are recorded and sent to you so you can refer to the information afterward.

NEW: Employee Portal for CenterPoint Payroll

We are excited to announce the recently released CenterPoint Employee Portal and would like to extend you an invitation to use this new functionality.
CenterPoint Employee Portal provides your employees a simple way to securely interact with their personal payroll information online.
This functionality is being offered for just $120 per year and is FREE to customers who are enrolled in our CenterPoint Time Clock or Publish Pay Advices service.
Employee Portal Features & Benefits:
Employees have convenient links to CenterPoint Time Clock and Publish Pay Advices directly within the Portal.
Payroll information, company announcements, and other information, can be added to the Home section and edited at any time by the payroll administrator, making it easier for employees to stay up to date on important company information.
Employees can maintain their personal information, Federal and State Withholding, and direct deposit allocations from the Self-Serve section. Before creating a new pay run or updating employee setup, the payroll administrator is notified of any pending changes and can approve or deny them, making communication between employees and payroll administrators very efficient.
In the Quick Links section, payroll administrators can create useful links for employees to any external website or file. This section can be used to communicate company policies or for providing benefit information such as health and dental insurance, flexible spending, IRS, 401K, etc.
