  • Carole (Staff Accountant) is a member of the Goodhue County Sheriff's Posse. She and her Arabian gelding RTR Thunder Lord "Blackie" attended the local public library summer reading program kickoff.
  • Katrina (Administrative Assistant) and Ashley (Support Technician) took their girls to the Crayola Experience at Mall of America.
  • Larry (IT) and his kids ran in Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, MN. Larry and Ellie ran the half, and Marcus ran the full. A first for all of them.
  • Mike (Quality Assurance Manager) performed in a dad’s dance at his daughter’s (Kadence) dance recital. Bruno Mars was the theme of the dance.

Red Wing Software® Releases CenterPoint® Version 11

Significant Product Enhancements and Features Included

Red Wing, MN -June 6, 2017- Red Wing Software has released version 11, for all CenterPoint products, including CenterPoint Accounting, CenterPoint Accounting for Agriculture, CenterPoint Fund Accounting, CenterPoint Payroll and its associated CenterPoint Time Clock, and CenterPoint Depreciation. A significant number of new features and enhancements have been added to CenterPoint Products in version 11.

“With CenterPoint version 11, we continue to focus on improving the CenterPoint customer experience through direct customer requests,” says Mike Zielski, Product Manager at Red Wing Software. “Version 11 includes over 150 changes that span our entire CenterPoint product offering of Agriculture, Business, Fund, Payroll and Depreciation. Some of the big changes include interface changes to reporting and financial statements, adding robust overtime calculations to payroll, continuing to improve the CenterPoint Time Clock, and working towards opening the products to enhance import flexibility.”

Version 11 Enhancements for CenterPoint Accounting, CenterPoint Accounting for Agriculture, and CenterPoint Fund Accounting

  • The user interface has been improved for all reports, to make modifying filters and formats more efficient and simple.
  • The Income Statement has been modified to allow for more robust and flexible reporting options.
  • A function has been added for customers to import transaction and maintenance screen data from outside sources.
  • A function has been added for customers to recall General Journal entries.
  • CenterPoint for Agriculture only: Reporting options have been updated to meet the latest Farm Financial Standards Council updates.
  • Other improvements in technology and efficiencies have been made, as well as known issues fixes.

Version 11 Enhancements for CenterPoint Payroll and CenterPoint Time Clock

  • CenterPoint Time Clock now has several exciting new features, including: the ability for employees to request time off, automatic handling of employee breaks to clocked activity, and user-definable rounding of clocked entries to exact minutes.
  • CenterPoint Payroll has the ability to configure the automatic calculation of overtime pay at various rates by period or day and break pay adjustments can now include the earnings for a specific state.
  • Other improvements in technology and efficiencies have been made, as well as known issues fixes.

Version 11 Enhancements for CenterPoint Depreciation

  • New features and enhancements have been added that include improvements in technology and known issue fixes.

Behind the Scenes - May 2017

  • Mike (Quality Assurance Manager) and his dad have been working with his daughter Kadence and some of her 6th grade class, building three little libraries as part of a service project for their community. Employees at Red Wing Software are cleaning their book shelves at home to contribute to the libraries.
  • Katrina (Administrative Assistant) enjoyed Mother’s Day with daughter Kyla and a ride in “The Beast” (the truck her husband restored and drag races).
  • Ashley’s (Technical Support) daughter Paytin had her dance recital. She participated in jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, and tap.
  • Ryan (Graphic Designer), Cori (QA Analyst) and their children Liam and Maggie went hiking at Tettegouche State Park while vacationing on the north shore of Lake Superior with Cori's family.

  • Jayme (Support Technician) visited her dad who lives in Zihuatanejo, Mexico near Ixtapa. While there they went fishing and caught a mahi mahi.
  • Ashley (Support Technician) and her daughter Payton celebrated birthday/spring break at Disney World.
  • Janet’s (Customer Service Representative) horse Cherry is waking up from her LONG WINTER NAP.
  • Stephanie (Marketing Manager) and Roxie (Administrative Assistant) attended a performance of "Wicked" at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis.
