My name is Larry Warrington, and I am IT Manager here at Red Wing Software. It’s my job to make everyone at Red Wing Software as efficient and effective as possible by giving them the tools they need to do their job. I have worked for Red Wing Software for over 25 years and have been around the company in some form since the 1980s through other family working here. My wife and I grew up in Red Wing, and after going to school and living around the state, we came back to town to live when I took the job here. We have two grown children that we raised here in Red Wing.
When I am not working, I am very involved in our local mountain bike club. I was a board member for years, I have organized races, and when not riding, I spend my free time building and maintaining mountain bike trails. This past summer, I helped with a youth mountain bike class that the club ran. The class offered young riders a chance to learn bike handling skills and introduced them to the local trails. It was fun to watch them become better riders and have a blast on their bike. I really enjoy the exercise and the time in the woods that mountain biking provides. It’s my happy place!

Ken Hilton - President Red Wing Software

Fall is in the air, and students are back in school. In this newsletter, I’ve mentioned how important I think it is to get continuing education regularly. I recently attended a financial standards meeting, where I get updated annually on changes in recordkeeping and reporting recommendations. I typically attend three or four similar meetings yearly to stay current and/or learn new things.
At Red Wing Software, we offer several ways to stay current on changes to our software or learn how to use the features that may be new to you. We offer on-site consulting, over-the-phone one-on-one training, educational videos, and live web sessions. All these options are listed on our website, so you can take advantage of whatever method works best for you. And, of course, your individual questions can be answered immediately by calling our friendly and knowledgeable support staff.
Whatever option you choose for continuing education, whether on Red Wing Software products or other aspects of your business, you should set aside some time to stay current with your business tools and learn new ways to improve your business.

Online Classroom Training

Online Classroom Training is the most comprehensive way to learn to use CenterPoint programs. These sessions offer the same curriculum as the live Classroom Training seminars. The format has been altered to better suit online learning. Sessions are limited to four hours per day and run over multiple business days. Attendees join a scheduled Online Classroom Training session with other Red Wing Software users. Sessions are presented by an experienced Red Wing Software instructor.

CenterPoint Accounting for Agriculture
  November 8, 9, 15, 16, and 17, 2022
9:00 am – 1:00 pm CST
Cost: $300.00
This training is a four-part, 16-hour live online session held on multiple days for a total cost of $300.00 (4 hours/$75.00 for each part) and will be limited to 15 participants. An optional 2-hour bonus session is included at no additional cost and will be held on the day after the course concludes.
Note: The session materials will be available one week before this event on 11/1/22.
CenterPoint Payroll
  November 29 and 30, 2022
9:00 am – 1:00 pm CST
Cost: $150.00
This is a two-part, 8-hour live online sessions held over consecutive days for a total cost of $150.00 ($75.00/4 hours for each part) and will be limited to 15 participants.
Note: The session materials will be available one week before this event on 11/22/22.

Online Training

These sessions provide you with in-depth information and explanations that allow you to learn more about CenterPoint from any location where you can access the internet (high-speed internet connection recommended). The sessions are presented live by one of our CenterPoint experts while you view the presenter's computer screen. You will have the opportunity to ask questions. A pre-recorded session will be sent to you so you can refer to the information afterward.
