CenterPoint® Version 20 – A Major Update

CenterPoint® Version 20 delivered a smarter, faster experience built directly from customer feedback, with enhancements across Accounting, Payroll, and Web Services that streamline everyday work.

  • Accounting
    Plaid-powered bank transaction imports, side-by-side balance sheets for multi-company comparison, searchable preferences, custom aging periods, improved invoice editing, and more flexible vendor and note management.
  • Payroll
    Easier and more flexible payroll liability due dates, scheduled earnings, simplified employer tax and deduction updates, and favorites for federal tax forms.

CenterPoint Version 20.4

CenterPoint Version 20.4 delivered high-impact updates to help customers confidently close the year and prepare for what’s next, with major enhancements driven by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) and tax compliance.

  • Accounting
    Streamlined bank reconciliation with statement scanning, smarter vendor payment workflows, stronger security, and expanded depreciation updates reflecting new Section 179 limits and 100% federal SDA expensing.
  • Payroll
    Payroll users gained critical OBBBA support, such as no-tax-on-overtime and no-tax-on-tips tracking, new W-2 reporting codes, enhanced ACA mass updates, detailed tax reports, Secure 2.0 Roth catch-up handling for highly compensated employees, and improved audit visibility for employee portal changes.
    • 2026 Tax Table Updates/Forms
      All required federal and state tax changes and forms for tax compliance and reporting needs.
    • Convenient, Streamlined Employee Portal
      A new, consolidated online Employee Portal provides single-point access to payroll web services (time clock, pay advices, self-serve) for more employee visibility and a streamlined employee experience.

Looking Forward to 2026 and Beyond

  • SOC2 Compliance
    As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a secure operating environment for our customers, partners, and internal teams, we will obtain SOC 2 compliance in 2026. SOC 2 compliance is an auditing standard by the AICPA that assesses how service providers securely manage customer data based on five Trust Services Criteria (Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy).
  • Vern AI Help (Optional Tool)

    Easily find what you need when you need it with AI-powered Help search functions. Vern AI Help is another optional tool in your arsenal -- all your other support options remain available to you as well. Ask Vern CenterPoint questions and receive smart responses and support, simplifying your product experience. New Vern functionality will be added throughout the year.
