Customer Payments Portal and Clover Connect Partnership Explained!

Hi! I am Stephanie, and I work in marketing at Red Wing Software. I wanted to give a better description of the Customer Payments Portal and Clover Connect partnership, how they came to be, and most importantly, how they can help YOU!
While CenterPoint has had a robust Accounts Receivable function, Red Wing Software users have requested a way to allow their customers to pay online. Through research and relationships, Red Wing Software met with Clover Connect, a sector of Fiserv-- a global fintech and payments company. Clover Connect specializes in the online payment experience; after several meetings, it became apparent that a partnership would greatly enhance CenterPoint for our customers. This allows users the ability to receive payments online from their customers quickly and securely. We worked with Clover Connect to implement some of their technology into our software to ensure any payments received electronically would still go to the right place for reporting and be a seamless process. (After all, it’s meant to simplify the whole process, not make it more difficult!)
I must say, I think our programmers, along with Clover Connect, did an amazing job of making this tool easy to use. You can email your customers a secure link, allowing them to pay immediately. If you are processing multiple invoices simultaneously, you can choose some or all invoices to be sent via email, and then print the rest. All processed payments can then be imported directly into CenterPoint to simplify the reconciliation process. All these steps are done using the Customer Payments Portal for CenterPoint Accounting.
Using the Customer Payments Portal does require credit card processing through Clover Connect. This arm of the software allows you to accept electronic payments. Clover Connect offers a ‘meet or beat’ guarantee, meaning they will either meet the credit card processing pricing you currently have or beat it. The nice part is that there is no obligation for you to find out what your rate would be, either.
If you want to offer your customers the option of paying with a quick link, or are simply looking for better credit card processing rates, contact Red Wing Software to take that first step. You’ll be glad you did!

End of Red Wing Windows Payroll Migration

Red Wing Windows Payroll Users: This is your reminder that migration services will end on April 30, 2024. If you move to CenterPoint Payroll and have your data migrated before April 30, 2024, Red Wing Software can assist you in the process. It also means that migration pricing, which is heavily discounted, will still be available before April 30, 2024, and will expire after that date.
Having your data migrated offers great benefits to your business – benefits you will not find outside of Red Wing Software and CenterPoint Payroll, including the ability to offer electronic pay advices and an online time clock to your employees, as well as having all your employee information at your fingertips, rather than starting over from scratch.
If you’ve considered moving to CenterPoint Payroll, now is the time to make the move. Contact Red Wing Software today to learn about moving to CenterPoint Payroll at sales@redwingsoftware.com or call 800‑732‑9464.

Notes from President

Ken Hilton - President Red Wing Software

Recently, the company that provides our hosting service for using CenterPoint in the cloud implemented Multi-Factor-Authentication (MFA). MFA provides an additional level of security for accessing information stored outside the walls of your operation.
In some cases, the website you are accessing requires this authentication every time you log in to your account. In the case of Red Wing® Cloud Services (CenterPoint in the cloud), this authorization will occur each month when you log in for the first time at each unique location. People that use Cloud Services will receive an email with a code that must be entered to gain access to their program.
When websites I use started requiring this new level of security, I became somewhat frustrated with the process. Now that many websites require authentication, I feel more comfortable with it, and I am changing some of my logins to require MFA when I access my accounts on their websites.
There are far too many bad actors trying to access personal information for me not to be as careful as possible.
